-Cameroonian President Paul Biya—the world’s oldest head of state—said he would seek an eighth term in October.
Biya, 92, has ruled the Central African country since 1982. His tenure has been marred by allegations of corruption and bad governance, as well as security challenges.
Two of his allies have recently broken with the ruling coalition to challenge him in the election.
